Man Arrested for Kidnapping, Outstanding Warrants

On November 25, 2024, the Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit, in coordination with Patrol Services successfully resolved an active kidnapping investigation. The investigation began following reports of an altercation at a residence located in the 1200 block of Alta Vista Road. The altercation involved a woman and her teenage son, who were forcefully removed from their home by the woman’s boyfriend, Raheem Conley, following a domestic dispute

Parents Arrested in Infant’s Death

Special Operations Execute Search Warrant, Leads to Gang and Drug Arrests

On November 3, 2024, the Columbus Police Department’s Special Operations Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in the 4200 block of Roman Drive, as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking and criminal street gang activity. The operation targeted members of the Rollin 60’s Crips / DBH gang, a known criminal organization.

On October 31, 2024, Dejahn Glenn, 28, was arrested in connection to the deadly shooting that claimed the life of Sekedra McCoy. Glenn is charged with Murder and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime.

Homicide by Vehicle Arrest

 Wednesday, October 30, 2024

On September 20, 2024, at 9:26 p.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to the area of 5th Avenue and 20th Street in reference to a hit and run involving a vehicle and two pedestrians. One pedestrian, later identified as Robert Norman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The other pedestrian suffered injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.

Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Arrest

On October 27, 2024, at 1:29 a.m., Columbus Police Officers responded to the area of Victory Drive near Benning Road concerning a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle that left the scene. The pedestrian, later identified as Anthony Hughley, was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Street (Ralston Tower). Upon arrival, officers discovered the male victim suffering from a stab/puncture wound.
