2020 Code Changes

The Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) Board met and approved the recommendations of the State Codes Advisory Committee to adopt the 2018 International Building Code (IBC), International Residential Code (IRC), International Plumbing Code (IPC), International Mechanical Code (IMC), International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC), International Fire Code (IFC), International Swimming Pool and Spa Code (ISPSC) and 2015 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). These codes will become the Georgia State Minimum Construction Codes and will be effective January 1st, 2020.
