2020 Census Awareness Operations

Your Columbus Planning Department, in partnership with the US Census Bureau and our local Complete Count Committee, will be attending events around the community to help raise awareness of the upcoming 2020 Census. Getting an accurate count for the 2020 Census is important because it determines, among many things, the level of funding for education, health care and other social services in your community. Census Day 2020

Census Day 2020 is April 1, 2020! The United States Census Bureau uses April 1, 2020 as it's "reference day" meaning that you and your neighbors are counted where you live on April 1, 2020. Census Day is also a celebration of the time and effort from all levels of government and community that makes the Census possible. The Columbus Consolidated Government, in partnership with the US Census Bureau, is excited to announce the formation of our Complete Count Committee. The Complete Count Committee will help tailor outreach efforts, particularly to hard to count communities, and help the Census Bureau accomplish it's goal of "counting everyone once, only once and in the right place".
