Proposed Tax Allocation District #8

The purpose of the proposed TAD #8 is to support development of a possible mixed use resort development and a low-to-moderate income housing development along Bull Creek and the Chattahoochee River. The intent is to leverage economic opportunities in South Columbus and along the river in Columbus, GA. The TAD district comprises 6 parcels (212 total acres) and, with all TADs combined, occupies just over 3.7% of all taxable property in Columbus. JR Allen Parkway Study

The purpose of this study is to examine this freeway/major arterial and to determine how to alleviate traffic congestion along the J.R. Allen Parkway corridor, while also improving access to transit shelters, connecting the pedestrian sidewalk network, and making considerations for bicycle facility/amenity investments.
