In light of the recent health concerns surrounding the Coronavirus, the Planning Department has taken some steps to protect our citizens needing to conduct business with our department, while at the same time protecting our team members. Beginning today, March 16th, the Planning Department has implemented a Work From Home policy for those team members wishing to do so. Each member will be monitoring their emails in case you would like to contact them about a question or need further information. Team members may also be reached by calling their direct numbers. Refer to our Department Contact Information for a member's contact information.
With these forms of communication available, we are asking that the general public keep their visits to our office to a minimum. Our office will still be opened from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. A team member will be in the office to answer general questions or to put you in touch with a member that can directly answer your questions. Any need for a scheduled meeting with a team member or others will first be handled by a conference call. Actual face-to-face meetings will be determined on a case-by-case bases.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we all go through this difficult time. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns on this matter. Thank you.

Every four years, the United State Department of Transportation (USDOT) conducts a review of the Columbus-Phenix City region's transportation planning process. Reviews focus on compliance with federal regulations and is an opportunity to identify challenges, successes and experiences of the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), the Georgia Department of Transportation, the Alabama Department of Transportation, METRA, PEX, and other key planning and implementation agencies. As the MPO for a five (5) county region (All of Muscogee and Chattahoochee and a portion of Harris County in Georgia, and parts of Lee and Russell Counties in Alabama), C-PCTS MPO is the agency ultimately responsible for ensuring a successful outcome to the certification review process. As part of the process, the public is invited to share their comments. We welcome your input on how the planning process is currently functioning and how to improve the process.
Visit our TMA Certification website to review the presentation and informational document. You may submit any feedback via the TMA Certification website.
