Federally Funded Projects authorized by GDOT for Fiscal Year 2022

The Georgia Department of Transportation has authorized a number of federally funded transportation projects for Fiscal Year 2022. For more information and a list of these projects, please click here.


2022 Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax

Renewal of the 1-cent TSPLOST (Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) will be on voters ballots in the River Valley region May 24th. TSPLOST funds are collected for and exclusively spent on transportation projects in the River Valley Region including intersection improvement, multi-use trail construction, road widening, transit upgrades, resurfacing, safety improvements and more.

8th Street, 13th Street, and 17th Avenue Corridors Study

The Columbus Consolidated Government invites you to attend a Public Information Open House for the 8th Street, 13th Street, and 17th Avenue Corridors Study. The purpose of this study is to improve safety for walking and driving along each of the three corridors.


The Open House will be held at 420 10th Street on May 12, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM or you may visit our project website at www.columbuscorridors.com
