SHSP Non-Motorist Pedestrian and Bicycle Fact Sheet

Thursday, June 17, 2021

This fact sheet from the Governor's Office of Highway Safety details that "although pedestrians and bicyclists represented less than one percent of all individuals involved in motor vehicle crashes (0.4 percent), they accounted for 17 percent of all traffic fatalities". Improving the safety of our roads and sidewalks is something we can all contribute to, pedestrian, cyclist and driver alike.
