Columbus Police Department, GA - K9 Olive will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Olive’s vest was sponsored by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. and will be embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.” 

The Columbus Police Department's Property Crimes Unit has arrested five suspects in connection with a series of entering auto and stolen vehicle investigations. The cases stem from reports received over the past month across Columbus. 

Between July 14-16, 2026, the Columbus Police Department's Special Operations Unit concluded four separate narcotics investigations, resulting in the arrest of eight individuals and the seizure of illegal drugs, firearms, and other evidence. 

UPDATE On July 10, 2026 17-year-old Jordan King turned himself in to police in connection to the death of Kadin Harris.

During the month of June, the Columbus Police Department's Fugitive Unit recorded 62 arrests involving individuals wanted on outstanding warrants and active criminal charges. Charges included violent felonies, property crimes, firearm offenses, drug violations, fraud-related offenses, and probation violations.

The Columbus Police Department has arrested Clarence Brown following an investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct at Nu You Experience in the 3800 block of E. Britt David Rd. 

The Columbus City Council has approved a temporary curfew ordinance for unsupervised minors in Uptown Columbus. The ordinance will take effect 10 days after Mayor Skip Henderson signs it and will remain in effect through September 30, 2026, unless extended by City Council. 

During the month of May, the Columbus Police Department’s Fugitive Unit recorded 61 arrests involving individuals wanted on outstanding warrants and active criminal charges.
