  Counseling Services:
 

Muscogee County Prison has three full-time counselors. Their responsibilities are to provide counseling services to the prison population, in an effort to meet the offenders individualized counseling needs.

   
  Programs:
 

Muscogee County Prison provides inmates an opportunity to achieve a GED. Classes are provided Monday and Tuesday nights from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm. Since 1997 several hundreds inmates have earned their GED certificate. We have the best GED program in the state.

 

 

OJT: (Certified)

 

On-the-job-training is available to qualified inmates. OJT equips the inmate with marketable skills for his future. Since the program started in 2001 we have had 100 successful inmates graduate from the Middle College of Georgia program.

   
 

Motivation for Change:

 

Motivation for Change classes are taught the second Wednesday of each month. All inmates that have drug charges are required to attend the class. Other inmates are encouraged to take the class.

   
  Anger Management & Family Violence:
 

Essentially all inmates are required to take this course.

   
 

Chaplain Services:

 

This service is available upon request by the inmate or as needed for Spiritual Counseling.

   
  Volunteer Services:
 

Various organizations volunteer to assist in the implementation of rehabilitative programs approved by the Georgia Department of Corrections and State and Local Standard Standard Operating Procedures.
