Meet the Mayor

B. H. "Skip" Henderson III

mayor2

He graduated from Columbus High School and attended Columbus College; gained invaluable experience working for his father's real estate business before ascending to Team Leader at Keller-Williams Realty.

The Mayor is the son of Berry Henderson. Skip has been married to Karon for over for over 33 years and has raised his family here in Columbus, Georgia.

Skip Henderson served as Post 10 City Councilman for nearly two decades, but he's always called Columbus, Georgia and the Chattahoochee Valley his home. The Mayor served six years as chair of the budget committee during his tenure as councilman, as well as serving as the chair of vital community organizations such as the Better Business Bureau, March of Dimes, and Kiwanis Club. Skip and his wife, Karon, serve together on the Leadership Council for the American Cancer Society.

Leading with a progressive agenda, the Mayor's commitment to improving the city of Columbus is unwavering; and moving forward, he hopes to continue using his experience, perseverance, and passion to serve our community full-time as mayor.
