Retention: The retention rate for the 2021 - 2022 Paramedic Cohort was 80%. (30 students initially, 24 graduated)
Written Examination: Outcomes for 2021 - 2022 – 83% passed. (23 tested, 19 passed within 3 attempts)
Positive Job Placement: 20 Graduates have reported 100% job placement.

Retention: The retention rate for the 2022 - 2023 Paramedic Cohort was 90%. (20 students initially, 18 graduated)
Written Examination: Outcomes for 2022 - 2023 – 78% passed. (18 tested, 14 passed within 3 attempts)
Positive Job Placement: 15 Graduates have reported 100% job placement.

 

The Columbus Fire and EMS Training Division's Paramedic Training Program has adopted the CAAHEP Standard II.C Program Goals-Minimum Expectations: "To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains with or without exit points at the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and/or Emergency Medical Technician, and/or Emergency Medical Responder levels."

The Columbus Fire and EMS Paramedic Training Program received initial accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on March 16, 2018. The Paramedic program is accredited by (CAAHEP) upon the recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation of Educational Programs for the Emergency Medical Services Professions (CoAEMSP).
