This website has been established to help voters in the Muscogee County area find information about upcoming elections, elected officials and answers to frequently asked questions. Listed below are quick links to a few of the most requested pages on the Elections' website. This board was established for the purpose of carrying out the duties heretofore exercised by the Muscogee County Board of Elections and the Muscogee County Board of Registrars and which have the powers relating to the conduct of elections a primaries and the registration for voters and absentee balloting procedures that are provide for in the laws of Georgia. It has five members, consisting of one each from the two major political parties and three appointed by the Columbus Council. (Act No. 149 (H. B. 941) signed into law by the Governor on April 4, 1991) Its executive director is also appointed by the Columbus Council.

Notice to the Voters of Muscogee County, Georgia

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 6th day of April 2026, the logic and accuracy testing of the equipment that will be used for voting in the May 19th General Primary/Nonpartisan Election will begin in the Office of Elections and Registration, located at the City Services Center, 3111 Citizens Way, Columbus, Georgia, at 11am. Testing will continue at 5601 Veterans Parkway, Columbus, Georgia until all equipment has been tested, prepared, and sealed for voting. Testing will determine that all equipment will correctly count votes cast for all positions on the ballot.

THIS TESTING SHALL remain open to the public to observe, and members of the public are invited to be present during the preparation and testing of the equipment.

THIS NOTICE IS GIVEN pursuant to an order of the Muscogee County Board of Elections and Registration and in accordance with Title 21 of the Official Code of Georgia and rules of the State Election Board.

Special Election May 19 2026

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 19th day of May, 2026, a special election will be held in conjunction with the General Primary/Nonpartisan Election at the regular polling places in the election districts of Muscogee County, Georgia at which time the qualified voters will vote to fill the remaining terms in Council District 1 and Council 9 At-Large.

The places for holding said election shall be at the regular and established voting precincts of the election districts in Muscogee County, Georgia, and the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the date fixed for the election. 

The last day to register to vote in the special election shall be Monday, April 20, 2026. Those residents of Muscogee County qualified to vote at such election shall be determined in all respects in accordance with the election laws of the State of Georgia.

This notice is given pursuant to an order of the Muscogee County Board of Elections and Registration.
