The ARP Affordable Housing Initiative Program Overview is available for review.

ARP Affordable Housing Initiative Program

Columbus Consolidated Government (CCG) is pleased to develop and administer The City of Columbus ARP-Affordable Housing Initiative. CCG has allocated $3,000,000 for local entities with solutions to the City of Columbus’ affordable housing crisis.

Applicants will align their affordable housing programs with the Department of Treasury’s ARP – Final Rule to create opportunities for affordable housing. According to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), housing is considered “affordable” only when rent or mortgage plus utilities are no more than 30% of the gross income.

On Wednesday, May 24, 2023, the CCG Community Reinvestment Department began seeking proposals for the development of Affordable Housing. The Request for Proposal process will expire July 24, 2023. Applications will be reviewed by City of Columbus staff within 30 days of closing the proposal submission window. Upon completion of the review, formal notification will be made to confirm both approval and declination. The Columbus Consolidated Government and The Community Reinvestment Department look forward to your submission.
