2023 BI-CITY CHRISTMAS PARADE CANCELLED

Due to the predicted severe weather for tomorrow, December 2nd,
it has been decided to cancel the Christmas Parade. The safety and well-being of all those involved is our top
priority, and we believe that cancelling the parade is the best decision. We apologize for any inconvenience this
may cause and appreciate your understanding. Please note that the parade for this year will not be rescheduled.

Columbus Animal Care & Control Division Critter Mapping Tool/Lost and Found Public Database

Columbus Animal Care and Control has been informed there is an
individual utilizing its Critter Mapping Tool/Lost and Found public database to reach out to individuals who are
using this tool to either locate their lost animal or to contact the owner of a found animal. This individual is
impersonating or stating they are a representative of Animal Care and Control.

All Hands On Deck- Neighborhood Meeting Benning Hills- District 3

City Officials will host its ‘Neighborhood Meeting’ on Friday,
November 3rd at 11:00am at Frank Chester Recreation Center, 1441 Benning Drive as part of the ‘All Hands
on Deck Campaign’ to clean up our neighborhoods and our city. We must get a handle on the uncleanliness of
our community, and it will take “all of our community leaders and residents to make this happen”. This is just
the start of getting this done through collaboration and coordination.

Auburn Avenue will be closed from Cross Country Hill to Birchfield Drive starting on November 6th for one week. This closure is due to the essential utility work that needs to be carried out in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and request all commuters to take alternative routes during this time. We also advise drivers to exercise caution and follow all detour signs and traffic instructions. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in this matter.

Annual Shoe Recycling Campaign

Shoe Recycling Campaign! Our new theme is Shoe Us the Love!”. This year Our goal this year is
to collect over 30,000 pairs of shoes starting in October and ending on December 31st . There are
various drop off sites throughout the city including all our local fire stations.

The Land Bank Authority is organizing a free workshop that is open to the public to address how to work with the Land Bank Authority to invest in tax delinquent and vacant properties in Columbus. This workshop is an opportunity for interested individuals to learn about the process of investing in these properties and how to navigate the Land Bank Authority's website to apply for available properties. The Land Bank Authority has recently opened applications for 55 properties on their website and has received a lot of feedback from the community about wanting to learn more. If you're interested in learning about investing in tax delinquent and vacant properties in Columbus, be sure to attend this informative workshop.

29th Annual Help the Hooch Community Clean-Up and Watershed Festival

from the 29 t h Annual Help the Hooch Citywide Cleanup residents of
Columbus, Fort Benning, and Phenix City are invited to participate in the 29th Annual
Help the Hooch Cleanup on Saturday, October 7th from 8:30am to 11:30am. We’re proud
to announce that all our designate cleanup sites are all Full. Registration is now closed; however,
we are asking residents that would still like to volunteer to clean up your neighborhoods,
churches, or any other public and private spaces in need of cleaning. Let’s Get Clean Columbus!
