The State of Georgia is working on creating a park in north Columbus along the Chattahoochee River and iliciting public feedback on possible recreational amenities: amphitheater, nature andbird watch, splash pad, rental facilities, mountain biking, dog park, organized races, equestrian trails, nature programming, hiking and walking trails, fishing, archery, hunting, disc golf, and camping.
